My Interpretation I think that this song is about a woman who is sleeping with a married man, or a man who's already in a relationship. The third line shows that it's just physical between them "I wish I was in love but I don't wanna cause any pain" and that she knows it will cause them both not to mention his missus pain.

He always is making her feel good about herself yet she's not giving anything in return and its causing her shame. She wants to be able to be with him and lean on him. She wants to be in love with him but she's afraid that this type of relationship will only cause pain. And by her feeling this way there's no happiness for them both and she feels like this makes her the bad guy.
She doesn't want to hear the same "song" and dance about how it'll be ok and how it will work because she feels it isn't the same. At the same time she doesn't want to feel like being in love with him would just be a game of waiting until they can be together physically. She feels "cold" meaning theres no one there to really be with her to hold her. She goes on to say would you still "wrap me up" meaning comfort her and tell her that its still a good idea.
